A Couch, a Love Seat and a Bed

We Moved by Bike!

This was exactly what I was hoping for! Community, laughter, moving crazy big objects by bike! The weather threatened but the sun came out. And we moved everything in just two hours. Having a 0.7 mile route from old house to new helped, not to mention creative thinking and good, strong ratcheting straps. Thanks, to everyone, who helped. And Abbey, welcome home!

Bike to Dinner: Mama Gaia

Please join us for this week’s Bike to Dinner ride. We didn’t read carefully, when we chose Mama Gaia. And we failed to notice that they usually close at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. They have graciously offered to stay open late for us. So, we hope you’ll help us give them a really good showing, as a thank you!

Meet at Revolutions at 6:30, Wednesday, July 5. Come at 6:15 if you want to rent a bicycle.

This ride will be just over 4.5 miles each way. You should be about to ride for about 45 minutes, without a break. We have bikes to rent, if you need one: City Bikes, Family Cargo Bikes and trail-a-bikes that we can help you attach to your bicycle, so a kid can help you pedal.

More details and weather updates, here.

Nationwide, thriving neighborhoods are safe, walkable neighborhoods where it’s easy to reach restaurants, stores, transit stops, schools and parks on foot. With over 350 pedestrians hit by drivers each year and 80 to 95 percent of our sidewalks in disrepair, is Memphis keeping up?

Hear from panelists what Memphis can do to reduce traffic violence, catch up on $1.1 billion in sidewalk repairs, and help local businesses.

Location: Emerge Memphis, 516 Tennessee Street, Memphis, TN 38103
