February Bike Rides

Did you ride with us, this month? We rode East to the end of the Greenline! We also rode West to the Edge. And we even went a little North to restaurants along Cleveland Ave, twice. There are more rides planned for March. We hope you’ll join us!

Some Girls and Their Bikes

We were so happy to have Midtown Bike Girls, in the Shop this week. They took a break from their weekly ride to take a field trip to Revolutions. We talked about  bike maintenance. And we showed off some bigger bikes, to those whose legs have grown longer, this winter! These girls were also some of the first to hear about our Wrench & Ride Bicycle Summer Camp. You can find out more about camp, here!

PeopleForBikes Survey

PeopleForBikes is a national bike advocacy organization whose goal is to get more people riding more often and to build a powerful national voice for better bicycling in America. Their work focuses on government funding and policy at the federal, state and local levels, infrastructure, and inspiring people to ride. Recently, South Memphis was announced as a focus area for their new Big Jump Project, which aims to double or triple bike ridership in specific neighborhoods and hopes to prove that when cities make smart changes, more people ride bikes, and communities become better places to live, work and play.

Take their survey and be entered to win great prizes, including a Trek bike. Tell us the good, the bad and the ugly about your Memphis biking experiences and help our community become a better place for bikes. Your feedback will help determine our city’s rank in the PlacesForBikes rating system that will be released Fall of 2017.

Take the survey now(It takes less than 10 minutes to complete.)
