Women’s Bike Chat: TODAY

I thought we’d be talking about cold-weather riding, this month. But this week, I rode in short sleeves and light sweaters, again! Join us, anyway, to talk about Bike-related goals/hopes for the new year and how this group might support them. We can also discuss tips for cold-weather riding, because it will come back someday, right?! Dawn Vinson is our guest discussion leader. And if it’s not pouring, we’ll take a neighborhood ride, afterwards. Hope you can join us! 2:00 p.m. at Revolutions.

King Day at the National Civil Rights Museum

Tomorrow is a great day to visit the National Civil Rights Museum. You will find us in the Health and Wellness Pavillion. Plus there will be entertainment, kids activities, food trucks and more! Oh, and Bike Walk Memphis is providing Bike Valet. Park your bike with them and get $2 off the $5 Museum admission. So ride your bike, park up front and save money!

Room for just ONE more!

Our Bicycle Overhaul for the Home Mechanic class starts this Tuesday, Jan 17. There is just one spot left! Would you like to learn how to fix up a bike? Read more and sign up here!

Beers and Gears: Ghost River’s New Tap Room

Are you feeling nervous, anxious or excited about this week’s inauguration? Whatever you are feeling, you know that a bicycle ride and a beer will be good! Join us, on inauguration eve, Thursday at 7:00, to check out Ghost River’s new taproom. From the pictures, it is beautiful!!

This is one of our longer rides. Plan to ride about 55 minutes each way, at a pace slow enough to chat. And you can rent a bicycle, if you need one. Rides meet at Revolutions, on the Cooper-side of First Congo, in front of our gate with bike art above it. If you are renting bicycles, please come at 6:45. Otherwise, meet at 7:00.

If you’ll be hungry, Nomadic Feast will be on site, at Ghost River. Please note that it’s mostly meat! Read all the nitty gritty here.

Fix a Flat Class: Next Monday

Have you been wanting to learn to fix a flat tire? Your next chance is almost here! Plan to join us on Monday, January 23. Read more and sign up, here.
