Dec 3: Don’t let the gloomy weather get you down

This class covers everything you need to know about tires and tubes. Learn why you get flats and the best ways to prevent them, in the future. Never get stranded again!

Bicycle Overhaul for the Home Mechanic: Jan 17, 2017

This is an extensive and fun seven-week bicycle repair and maintenance class designed for the home mechanic. Learn about your bicycle, system by system, as well as adjust, overhaul and replace worn parts. After completing this course, you will have fully overhauled your own bicycle.

How to Ride in the Street: March 26

We know that lots of Memphians would like to ride their bicycles more often. It’s a great way to go the farmers’ market, park or grocery store. But it can be really intimidating to get on the street with all the cars. What should you do if the bike lane disappears? Where should you ride if there isn’t any bike lane? What’s the best way to turn left? Is it safer to just ride on the sidewalk?

Memphis 3.0: Planning for Biking & Walking

The City of Memphis is embarking on the development of its first comprehensive plan in nearly 40 years. Attend a rally and make your voice heard. These meeting are an excellent opportunity to share your support for a more walkable and bikable city. Feedback specifically on bike lanes is being sought (they’re the topic of one of the guiding questions provided to group facilitators). The collective feedback gathered from this first round of public outreach may likely effect funding and project decisions in next year’s budget season. We urge you to find time to attend a meeting and share your thoughts and support.
