Have you been to the Harahan Bridge, yet?
We saw so many friends there on Opening Day, pedaling to Arkansas and back. If you haven’t been yet, it’s well worth the trip! Weekly light shows are planned for Friday nights at 8:00 p.m. And Martyrs Park (just South of Channel 3 Drive) is a great place to watch from.
How to Ride in the Street class
Class starts this afternoon! Don’t miss your opportunity to gain comfort and confidence to ride in the street. Class begins Sunday, October 30 at 2:00 p.m. Read more and sign up here!
Bicycle Overhaul Class Announced!
After a long hiatus, we will be offering our Bicycle Overhaul for the Home Mechanic again, this January. This is a perfect opportunity to dive into working on bicycles. Maybe you’ve had your eye on a bike that needs overhauling, but you didn’t know where to start? Maybe you need an awesome Christmas gift for someone who wants to get their hands greasy! Read more and sign up now!
Bikes & Basketball
Are you biking with us to the Memphis Grizzlies vs. Washington Wizards, this afternoon? All our group tickets are spoken for. But you can still get your own ticket directly from the Grizzlies. We’re sitting in Section 206, Row P. It looks like there are still plenty of tickets near there, and they are only slightly more expensive than what we paid! To join our ride, meet us this afternoon at 4:45 p.m. in front of the Revolutions Bike Gate. You are welcome to join us, even if you have your own Grizz tickets.
Bike to Brunch: SATURDAY
On November 5th, we’ll ride to Cafe Eclectic. On the way home, we’ll stop at the Midtown Kroger to see their new Bicycle Repair Stand and bike racks!! You should be about to ride for about 35 minutes, each way for this ride. We have bikes to rent, if you need one: City Bikes, Family Cargo Bikes and trail-a-bikes that we can help you attach to your bicycle, so your kid can help you pedal. We’ll meet at 9:00 a.m. and roll out by 9:15, at the latest. If you are renting bicycles, please come at 8:45.
Moms & Pops & Tots Ride: Nov 7
Join us for a morning bicycle ride, from Revolutions to Memphis Lake. Bring a picnic snack, and blankets to share. We’ll ride over, let the kids have time to play and then ride back.
Bring your bike trailer, trail-a-bike or bike seats loaded with kids. Or, if your child is at school, just bring yourself! Have a small child, but no way to carry them on your bicycle? Let us show you our Family Cargo Bikes! Meet up at 9:30 a.m. If you are renting bicycles, please come at 9:15 a.m.
For all of our rides:
All rides meet at Revolutions, on the Cooper-side of First Congo, in front of our gate with bike art above it. If you are renting bicycles, please come 15 minutes early.
All rides are weather dependent (we will postpone, if it looks like rain). And we require helmets on all Revolutions sponsored rides. Bring your bike in to Revolutions ahead of time for a tune-up, to make sure it’s ready to ride! Please bring a locks, if you can. We take a pretty easy pace, one where we can chat with each other! Please remember that you ride at your own risk.
