Ride with Us, this Fall

Wondering how to get involved?

Check out our Fall Program Guide. We’ve planned rides and classes that are fun and easy ways to try our riding a bicycle in Memphis. We hope you’ll join us, soon!

Show ‘n Tell: Electric Bikes — TODAY!

Are you curious about what electric assist bicycles are like? We’re having a Show ‘n Tell this afternoon at 3:00 at the Shop. We have a few friends who have been tinkering with eAssist and they will show off their work. We’ll gather in front of our Bike Gate, so that after we chat, we can do some test rides!  Join us to learn more!

Rides You Don’t Want to Miss

Moms and Pops and Tots

We’re riding to Overton Park, tomorrow morning with parents and kiddos. This ride is a request from one of our newest members. She took our How to Ride in the Street class, last Spring. Then this Fall, she assisted with the class. She bought herself a bicycle and brought her kids to our Kids Bike Club. She noted that she needs to practice, if she wants to feel confident riding on her own. And she asked if we could have another of these Mom’s rides. So, of course, I said sure!

If you’d like to join us, meet us at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct 3, in front of the Revolutions Bike Gate (1000 S. Cooper). Bring your own bicycle and kid-towing set-up. Or, try out one of our Family Cargo Bikes! If you are renting, please arrive at 9:15. Ride updates here.

Bike to Brunch

It’s almost here! Our first Bike to Brunch of the Fall. Join us on Saturday, October 8 at 9:00 a.m. in front of Revolutions’ Bike Gate (1000 S. Cooper). We’re headed to Bryant’s, which means this is a bit of a long ride. But then you get to eat Bryant’s food, so you know the work is worth it!

DON’T FORGET! Bryant’s is CASH ONLY. But there’s an ATM next door, if you do forget.

This ride will be an easy paced ride. And kids are welcome, but they (as well as you!) need to be able to ride at a consistent pace for about an hour and 15 minutes, each way. We’ll have Family Cargo Bikes available to rent, for $10 and City Bikes for $5, plus tax. If you are renting, please arrive at 8:45. And remember, we ask that everyone where helmets and you ride at your own risk.

Renting Bicycles for Revolutions Group Rides

Don’t let not having a bike keep you from riding on our group rides. We’re renting City Bikes for $5, plus tax and Family Cargo Bikes for $10, plus tax. If you’re renting, please arrive at 15 minutes early, so we can get your bike adjusted for you!

All rides are weather dependent (we will postpone, if it looks like rain). And we require helmets on all Revolutions sponsored rides. And please remember that you ride at your own risk.

Where We Rode, Last Week

Beers and Gears

We had a nice group of 12 head out as the sun went down, for our first Beers and Gears. If you missed this ride, our next in this series will be Thursday, November 17.
