Bike to Dinner: WEDNESDAY!

We’re headed to Central Barbecue!

Bike to Dinner is back and it starts on Wednesday. This year, we have restaurant owners joining us for the ride! Join us Wednesday, at 6:30 in front of the Revolutions Bike Gate. We’ll be joined by Craig Blondis, owner of Central Barbecue. He’ll tell us a little about why his family got into barbecue. And then give us a tour, when we get to the Downtown location.

It looks like this week is going to get hot. So, what better time to join us for an evening ride?!

OPEN SHOP — All Summer!

We want to help you ride, all summer long. So, we’re changing almost all of our Member’s Shop hours to Open Shop hours (Thursday, June 16 will still be Basic Bike Assessment class). This means that on Mondays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. and Sundays 2:00-6:00 p.m., you can fix on your own bike or fix up a friend’s. Your Revolutions membership must be current, to use the tools. But you can join, or re-new, anytime you come to the Shop!

Camp Starts, Tomorrow!

Revolutions’ first-ever Bicycle Summer Camps start tomorrow! We have 33 kids signed up, in grades 4 – 11. There are still a few spots left, if you know a kid who wants to Wrench and Ride with us!

Women’s Bike Chat: Ride with Dad!

growlercaddy46

This guy’s a dad, and he makes a caddy that carries growlers, on bicycles!

Mark your calendars for Sunday, June 19, at 2:00 p.m. It’s the third Sunday, so it will be time for another Women’s Bike Chat. But it’s also Father’s Day. So, we’re riding inviting everyone to come and ride with us. Bring your dad, bring a friend’s dad, bring a kid who already thinks he’s a dad because he has imaginary kids who like to eat fruit sausage (oh, that might only apply to me). In the winter, Women’s Bike Chat likes to go on a Hot Chocolate ride. But instead of drinking hot chocolate, we usually just drink beer. So, maybe we’ll just go on a beer ride, with Dad!

Bike Valet at the Levitt Shell

Did you know that the Levitt Shell wants you to ride to their concerts? They partnered with Revolutions to think of ways to encourage more people to ride to the park. Not only did they feature Revolutions at their first show of the season, they are also offering FREE Bike Valet, at every show. If you need help figuring out how to carry your picnic on your bicycle, stop in and we’ll help!
