Bike to Dinner–3 Angels on Broad

We had 32 people ride to dinner, last time. So, let’s go, again! This time, we’re headed to 3 AIMG_1499ngels, on Broad. You can see beautiful pictures of their food, and menus, on their website. Please note that 3 Angels is a bit pricier than our previous destinations.

Unless it is raining, let’s plan to meet at Revolutions’ Bike Gate, on Cooper, at 6:30 p.m., and we’ll Bike to Dinner!

If you want to rent a bike from us, come a few minutes early. We’ll have our Dutchie 3-speeds available for $5, plus tax.

Oh, and remember, please wear a helmet for all Revolutions Bicycle CoOp sponsored rides!! And bring lights, because we’ll ride back after dark.

See the Facebook event, here, and let us know that you plan to join us.

Orange Mound Community Ride — An Update

IMG_1562

We had a great time riding with our friends in Orange Mound. Dwayne Jones led us on an excellent tour, of the neighborhood. We saw Melrose High School, and the football field, Dunbar Elementary, where at least two in the group attended as children, and Landmark Farmers Market, where they are growing organic produce and medicinal herbs. Everyone had such a good time, that we already set the date and made an event page for our next ride. We’ll ride again on Thursday, Sept. 3. So, mark your calendars and plan to join us, then.

Women’s Bike Chat Turns One!

On August 16, at 2:00 p.m., we’re celebrating one year of Women’s Bike Chat!

clothing-swap

Just for fun, we’re going to make this a Clothing (and accessory) Swap Party. Plan to bring 3-5 items of clean and gently used clothing, jewelry, shoes or bags. We’ll also need some handheld snacks (so we can munch and shop at the same time). And, bring your own tasty beverages (you choose whether these are adult or not!).

The Swap items DO NOT have to be lycra or spandex. Because haven’t we decided that all clothes are bicycle clothes?! I, personally, am always on the look out for a new pair of wedge sandals!

And, of course, bring your bike and helmet, because afterwards our neighborhood ride can serve as the fashion show of what we’ve traded! All the details are here.
