It’s Hot, Let’s Ride!

Basic Bike Assessment, on Monday at 6:30 p.m.

When you’re out riding, have you ever thought ‘what is that squeak?’ This class will help you gain an understanding of the different systems on your bicycle.  Make sure your bike is in good working order and safe to ride.  We’ll also include some good cycling tricks-of-the-trade for making it easier to stay on your saddle. And you’ll come away with an idea of what you might like to update or fix up on your bike.

This class is for Revolutions members, only. But you can join when you sign up, online, or when you arrive for class.

Bike to Dinner, on Wednesday!

We’re riding to Blue Nile, on Madison. Have you been there, yet? It’s great Ethiopian food!

Unless it is raining, let’s plan to meet at Revolutions’ Bike Gate, on Cooper, on July 22 at 6:30 p.m., and we’ll Bike to Dinner! If you want to rent a bike from us, come a few minutes early. We’ll have our Dutchie 3-speeds available for $5.

Oh, and remember, please wear a helmet for all Revolutions Bicycle CoOp sponsored rides!! And bring lights, because we’ll ride back after dark.

Last Week’s SLOW Ride

Looked like this:

Angela was testing out new clipless pedals and Diana tried a Tri-Cycle.

Michael and Giovanna rode their new tandem!

Regions Bank, Now Nice to Bicycles!

The Regions bank branch at 2053 Union Ave previously had a policy that reserved the drive-through window for cars and trucks, only. However, after riding up to the window, twice, and speaking to the managers, Regions changed their policy! The branch at Union and Cooper is now ready to receive business on bicycles. We are still working on encouraging them to install a sturdy bike rack. But way to go Regions for changing your policy to become Nice to Bicycles!! Be sure to ride up and say thanks!
