Learn to Overhaul Your Bike!

Bike to Dinner!

How about riding to dinner, again? It’s hot out there. So, on Wednesday, June 8 we’ll gather at 6:30p.m. in front of the Revolutions Bike Gate. This time, we’re riding to Phuong Long, on Cleveland. They have meat, they have veggies, they have fried squid! That way there will be plenty of choices for everyone! Who’s with me?!

Unless it is raining, let’s plan to meet at Revolutions’ Bike Gate, on Cooper, at 6:30 p.m., and we’ll Bike to Dinner!

Oh, and remember, please wear a helmet for all Revolutions Bicycle CoOp sponsored rides!!

Here is what’s Coming Up, Soon!

A Neighborhood SLOW Ride

Last Monday night, twenty folks gathered to ride slowly through the neighborhood. The day was startingIMG_1168g to cool off. But the sun was still shining. Several folks borrowed our Revolutions City Bikes and the Easy Rider Tri-Cycles. Dave Lindstrom and Teddy Crum led the group through a zig-zagging trip through Cooper-Young. They were gone about an hour and that was just right because the sun was sinking by the time they returned.

One rider, 1st Congo member Rosa Mena, told me that since she is just learning to ride, she wasn’t comfortable taking a bike out on the streets. We spent the time circling the labyrinth parking lot. And by the time the group returned, Rosa was pedaling like a pro!

This ride was so popular we’re going to make it regular for the rest of the summer. Join us every two weeks at 6:45.
And if you’d like to use one of our
bikes or Tri-Cycles, you can rent one for $5.

PLEASE NOTE that all Revolutions sponsored
rides require a helmet.

Will you ride with us on Monday, July 13, at 6:45 p.m.?

A Bike Partnership with First Baptist Church – Broad!

Mark your calendars and plan to join us on Sunday, July 19 when we ride over to First Baptist Church – Broad! Our two churches are starting a partnership around bicycles! We will ride over to their worship service, and then join them on a group ride. Like First Congo, First Baptist Broad is along a great bike lane. We want to take advantage of that location to have an easy ride down to the Overton Park Bike Gate and back. Yes, it will be hot! But riding a bicycle provides a breeze! So, won’t you plan to join us?! More details, in the coming weeks. But email Sylvia, now, if you know you’d like to participate!
