And then, get ready for a busy week.
Last Monday, May 5th, Revolutions member Ben Cornelius led a class on Commuting 101. We had a great group discussion about how to start bicycling to work. We talked about road safety, things to carry on the bike, how to properly lock a bike and finding a good route to work. I think everyone went away with good ideas on how to start riding to work.
Our next class is this Monday, May 12th, at 6:30 p.m.: Roadside Repairs: A two-hour class on basic bicycle maintenance, designed for the beginner who needs to know how to fix a flat tire, negate noisy gears, reduce rim rub, etc. You will need your own bicycle and Flat Fix Kit. Kits will be available for $60 cash on the night of the class, and they include: A seat pack , CO2 cartridges, a patch kit, tire levers, a spare tube and a multi-tool.
These classes are for current Revolutions members, only. But don’t worry! You can join (or re-join), now! Memberships are $30 and payable when the Shop is open. You can also join on weekends at the Global Goods Fair Trade Store at 1st Congo. And, if you are attending a class, you can join when you show up for that!
Let us know you’re coming here or at email@example.com.
